Katt Williams Claims He’s ‘Responsible’ for Steph Curry’s Greatness—You Won't Believe Why!

The comedian recently claimed he is responsible for Curry's greatness and revealed the advice he gave him many years ago.

Williams' comments come after NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal blamed Curry for messing up the NBA, leading to its viewership problems.

During a recent episode of the "Good One" podcast recorded live at Vulture Festival in November, Williams made a shocking claim about his influence on Curry's career.

"Anybody that knows me knows that I don't claim sh*t I do," Williams began when asked about his past comments about telling Curry to shoot from deep.

He continued, "But, I am responsible for the greatest shooter in the NBA, without question."

Williams told a story about when Curry played in a couple of celebrity basketball games he organized. Before beginning his story, the comedian said, "The jury will decide whether or not I'm being facetious."

The "American Bad Boy" actor said no one knew Curry then, but he impressed everyone with his shooting skills. Williams observed Curry's playing style and believed he could do damage in the NBA with his impressive shooting because no one defended from that part of the court.

Hence, he allegedly encouraged the future NBA MVP to start shooting from deep. Williams claimed he told Curry, "If you can shoot before people can start defense, you'll be the greatest shooter that ever lived."

Williams concluded in pure comedic style, "Now I'm not saying he [Curry] took that advice and went on to do that but he took my advice and went on to do that, so ..."
